200 MW Photovoltaic Project | El-M’Ghaïer | Algeria.

Matelec is proud to collaborate with CSCEC Algérie (China State Construction Engineering Corp. Ltd.) on the 220 kV High Voltage Substation and Extension works — including two 160 MVA – 30/220 kV Power Transformers, which have now successfully arrived on site — as part of the M’Ghaïer Tendla 200 MW Photovoltaic Project in the El-M’Ghaïer region of Algeria.

With Société Algérienne de l’Électricité et du Gaz – Énergie Renouvelable (S-EnR) as the client, this project marks a cornerstone in Algeria’s renewable energy strategy.

🔹 Capacity: 200 MW solar PV plant with ~364,000 solar panels
🔹 Timeline: ~14 months
🔹National Strategy: Part of a 2,000 MW national program across 12 wilayas
🔹 Economic Benefit: Expected to create over 500 jobs during the implementation phase.
