Al Balad 2 132/33 kV Substation

Matelec’s Engineering & Contracting Division is proud to announce the successful energization, commissioning and inauguration of the Al Balad 2 132/33kV Substation in Salah al-Din Governorate, Iraq—completed ahead of schedule in collaboration with the Ministry of Electricity. Funded by JICA, the project encompassed full EPC scope, including design, supply, civil works, manufacturing, installation, testing, and final grid energization, in addition to the supply of a 63MVA 132/33kV mobile substation. This milestone reflects Matelec’s proven expertise in turnkey substation delivery, operational readiness, and reliable power infrastructure development—contributing to enhanced grid stability and long-term energy resilience in Iraq.
